Higgsfield's "Cully Hill Boys" Shows AI Filmmaking's Limits — and Its Human Foundations

Higgsfield has released "Cully Hill Boys," an AI-generated feature film built using its Cinema Studio tools and the newly integrated Seedance 2.5 model. The project — co-directed by Adilet Abish and Aitore Zholdaskali — stars the digital likenesses of streamer Mikyle "N3on" Rafiq, basketball creator Matt Kiatipis, and UFC fighter Israel Adesanya, all of whom signed licensing agreements rather than appearing on set. The script was written by Tim Planagan, whose work appeared on the Black List, and who retains traditional production rights while Higgsfield holds AI adaptation rights.

A reviewer from The Verge finds that the film's most effective qualities — its narrative structure, pacing, and stylistic energy reminiscent of Edgar Wright and Guy Ritchie — trace directly back to human contributors: Planagan's screenplay, the directors' vision, and even the prompts that explicitly name Wright and Ritchie as stylistic references. Higgsfield published most of the film's prompts alongside the release, framing it simultaneously as a creative showcase and an advertisement for its Cinema Studio suite.
