XREAL Launches a01+ AR Glasses as $299 "Pocket Cinema"

XREAL has announced the availability of the a01+, the debut product from its new sub-brand X By XREAL, priced at $299. The glasses are designed as a mainstream AR entertainment device compatible with existing smartphones, laptops, and handheld consoles. At just 62 grams, they feature dual-layer Micro-OLED displays with up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, HDR10 support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and real-time SDR-to-HDR conversion powered by a custom display chip and XREAL's ARView Image Engine.

The device projects a virtual screen equivalent to 147 inches at 4 meters and offers a 50° field of view, targeting commuters, travelers, and everyday viewers. Notably, the a01+ omits a built-in camera to keep weight down and maintain focus on the viewing experience. The glasses are now available on xreal.com and through major retail channels.
