Visual Effects Society Names 2026 Honorees, Including Susan Zwerman and Jon Landau Hall of Fame Inductee

The Visual Effects Society has announced its honorees for the 2026 VES Honors Celebration, scheduled for September 4th at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Susan Zwerman will receive the VES Founders Award along with a Lifetime VES Membership, while Jeff Kleiser will also be awarded a Lifetime VES Membership. Sir William Sargent and Scott Stokdyk join as Honorary Members, and four practitioners — Neishaw Ali, Rita Cahill, Barbara Ford Grant, and Susan Thurmond O'Neal — are named VES Fellows for outstanding contributions and a decade or more of service.

The VES Hall of Fame this year inducts producer Jon Landau (1960–2024) alongside three pioneering filmmakers: Gerry Anderson, Ishiro Honda, and Tomoyuki Tanaka, each recognized for foundational contributions to the art and technology of visual effects. All candidates were submitted for consideration by VES members, with final selections made by the VES Board of Directors, chaired by Kim Davidson.
