Udio Taps BuyDRM to Add Multi-DRM Protection to Its AI Music Platform

AI music generation service Udio has partnered with content security specialist BuyDRM to implement multi-DRM protection across its platform. The integration covers the three major DRM frameworks — Google Widevine, Apple FairPlay, and Microsoft PlayReady — delivered through BuyDRM's KeyOS MultiKey Service.

The move signals Udio's intent to build a more tightly controlled content environment — described as a "walled garden" — as AI-generated music matures and rights management becomes an increasing operational concern for platforms in the space.
