Tripo AI Launches 8K Texture Tool for High-Fidelity 3D Model Upscaling

Tripo AI has introduced 8K Texture, a new feature that generates true 8192×8192 BaseColor textures for 3D models in under two minutes. The tool supports three resolution tiers — 2K, 4K, and 8K — and is aimed at production contexts where surface detail must hold up under close inspection, including hero assets, cinematic shots, and product visuals.

The feature works with models created inside Tripo or imported from other AI 3D platforms such as Meshy, Rodin, Hitem, and Hunyuan, using an "Upscale Features" workflow that avoids the need to rebuild geometry from scratch. Export is described as compatible with all major 3D tools, positioning the offering for game developers, CG teams, and virtual production pipelines.
