The Television Academy and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) have announced the recipients of the joint 2026 Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards, to be presented October 14 at the Television Academy's Saban Media Center in North Hollywood. The combined ceremony marks only the second time the two organizations have jointly hosted the event, following a 2014 edition, and comes as the two bodies explore a broader reunification.
Among the honorees, Disney Research, Rising Sun Pictures, Digital Domain, and Metaphysic (Brahma AI) will be recognized for AI-based face replacement and performance-preserving post-production transformation — a notable acknowledgment of generative AI's growing role in professional broadcast and film workflows. Other recipients span a wide range of broadcast infrastructure, including Adobe for Premiere, Avid Technology for DNx, Starlink for satellite connectivity services, and several industry consortia for standards work in ATSC 3.0, FPV drone systems, and remote production monitoring.
