Gerencia 360, a Regional Mexican music label, has filed a copyright lawsuit against AI music generator Suno and data company Bright Data, alleging unauthorized use of Spanish-language recordings to train Suno's AI model. The label contends that Suno copied its works specifically to capture market share among Spanish-language AI music users.

The case is being brought by Richard Busch, the attorney known for his role in the high-profile "Blurred Lines" litigation, adding experienced legal firepower to what is becoming a growing wave of music industry suits targeting AI training practices. The lawsuit continues a pattern of record labels and publishers challenging the data sourcing methods underpinning generative audio platforms.
