Sci-Fi Thriller 'Overstake' Gets Generative AI Rebuild, Boarded by Cappu Films at Busan Market

Hong Kong's Cappu Films has signed on as worldwide sales agent for "Overstake," a sci-fi action thriller written and directed by Stas Mareev. The project pairs a live-action shoot with settings reconstructed through generative AI, positioning it among a growing wave of productions integrating AI-generated environments into traditional filmmaking pipelines.

Cappu Films is introducing the title to buyers at the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Contents & Film Market, marking one of the more prominent market debuts for a generative AI-assisted feature at a major international festival marketplace.
