Peanuts Studio WildBrain Acquires 'Hey Peppa Pig' GenAI Company Personality AI for Up to $69M

WildBrain, the studio behind the Peanuts brand, has acquired Personality AI — the company that created the generative-AI experience 'Hey Peppa Pig' — for $11 million in upfront cash and shares, plus up to $58 million in contingent payments. The deal brings Personality AI's character-driven GenAI capabilities in-house at WildBrain.

The acquisition signals a growing appetite among major children's and family entertainment studios to own the underlying AI technology powering interactive character experiences, rather than licensing it from third parties. The full payout of up to $69 million will depend on Personality AI hitting undisclosed performance milestones.
