Oman Film Society Trains 22 Emerging Filmmakers in AI Production Tools

The Oman Film Society (OFS) concluded a 10-day "AI Filmmaking Workshop: From Idea to Screen Using Modern AI Technologies," held July 7–16 in Muscat. The programme brought together 22 participants — OFS members and non-members alike — for hands-on training spanning the full production pipeline, from story concept development and cinematic prompt writing to character generation, visual creation, AI-assisted video sequences, and final editing.

Practical sessions introduced participants to tools including ChatGPT, Claude, and Magnific, alongside other specialised AI filmmaking platforms. Workshop director Mohammad Al Kindi emphasised that the goal was to help a new generation of Omani creators select and deploy the right AI tools for their projects while preserving their own artistic identity and creative vision.
