Luminate has unveiled an AI music identification framework designed to flag AI-generated songs and artists on its CONNECT platform. The company says CONNECT can now identify AI-generated music worldwide, with dedicated "AI Generated" labels set to roll out to users later this year.
The move signals growing momentum toward standardized disclosure of AI-generated content in the music industry's data infrastructure. As AI-produced tracks proliferate across streaming services, platforms that track music consumption and chart performance — like Luminate's CONNECT — face increasing pressure to distinguish human-made from machine-generated recordings.
