Google is introducing an option for users to remove visible watermarks from its AI-generated images. The change gives creators more flexibility over how AI outputs appear in their final work, without stripping the underlying identification layer entirely.
Invisible markers used to identify AI-generated files will remain intact regardless of whether the visible watermark is turned off, meaning the content can still be flagged or detected by platforms and tools that check for AI provenance.
