Filmustage Takes Times Square to Tout Belarusian Roots in Hollywood History

Filmustage, an AI-powered pre-production platform founded by a Belarusian team, launched a Times Square billboard campaign under the banner "Belarus Born. Hollywood Bound." The campaign draws a line from MGM co-founder Louis B. Mayer — born in Minsk and one of the original architects of the Academy Awards — through a constellation of Hollywood figures with Belarusian heritage, including Kirk Douglas, Harrison Ford, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lisa Kudrow.
The stunt doubles as a brand awareness play, positioning Filmustage alongside that legacy as a modern, technology-driven entrant in the film industry. A short video accompanying the campaign opens with a clip from John Wick before cutting to the billboard lighting up midtown Manhattan — a deliberately cinematic frame for what is, at its core, a marketing push for the platform's pre-production toolset.
