Filmustage Launches Academic Subscription with Discounted Access for Students and Free Tier for Educators

Filmustage has introduced an Academic Subscription program aimed at lowering the cost barrier for film students and educators using its AI-powered production planning tool. Students can access the Award-Winning Plan for $99/year or the Amazing Studio Plan for $149/year, with features including script breakdown, script analysis, team collaboration, and multi-format export. Educators at partner institutions receive free access.

The program launches with institutional partnerships at Boston University and UNCSA Filmmaking. Subscriptions are currently processed manually via a dedicated academic email, requiring verification through a .edu address. The initiative is positioned as both a talent-pipeline investment and a way to embed Filmustage's toolset early in the workflows of emerging filmmakers.
