Filmustage has shipped two back-to-back releases that close long-standing workflow gaps for film productions. The headlining feature, Sides, converts shooting schedules into per-day script packets with a QR code on every page so crew members can instantly verify on set whether they're holding the current version. Additional on-set tools include non-destructive line markups, shot-status logging per scene, and a Smart Highlight filter by cast, location, or scene type.
The update also brings Movie Magic Budgeting (MMBX) import and export, eliminating the need to rebuild budgets from scratch inside Filmustage. Script versioning now lets production teams preview how a revision affects the schedule and budget before committing to it, and a new in-app script editor means small text fixes no longer require re-uploading the entire document. Rounding out the release are scheduling conflict detection, story-day planning, smarter element tagging, and a faster breakdown engine.
