Filmustage has shipped a notable update to its script breakdown and budgeting platform, headlining with native multi-language support. Scripts written in any language can now be analyzed directly — no translation or language configuration required — with characters, locations, and props extracted from the original text. The company claims this makes Filmustage the first major pre-production platform to natively support scripts in all languages.
The update also addresses real-world formatting issues, allowing the system to parse non-standard layouts, inconsistent indentation, and missing character blocks without requiring manual cleanup. A new co-reference detection feature automatically links all mentions of the same character — including pronouns and alternative names — reducing the need for manual correction in character tracking. On the budgeting side, the release adds filming location and tax deduction fields, plus batch actions to bring cost planning closer in line with the breakdown workflow.
