Filmustage Adds Cast ID and Tag Editor to Its AI Screenplay Breakdown Platform

Filmustage has rolled out a winter update to its AI-powered script breakdown platform, introducing Cast ID and a Tag Editor alongside hidden elements support and navigation improvements. The Cast ID feature automatically assigns identifiers to characters, while the Tag Editor gives casting directors and production crews a dedicated window to upload photos, add descriptions, rename elements, and change element categories — all within the breakdown workflow.

The updates are aimed at streamlining the casting breakdown process: after an AI script breakdown is run, users can access character details through the Reports tab, where they can document age ranges, physical descriptions, character notes, and backstory. The additions position Filmustage as a more comprehensive production management tool for crews moving from script analysis into active pre-production.
