EditLab's Tracker App Lets Creators Edit AI-Generated Songs Section by Section

EditLab's Tracker app for Mac addresses a common frustration with AI-generated music: a single flawed bar or artifact-ridden vocal can ruin an otherwise usable track, and the only fix has traditionally been to regenerate the entire song from scratch. Tracker converts finished AI songs into editable projects by separating vocals, quantizing drums onto a grid, and organizing the music into loops — giving users the ability to mute, repair, or replace individual sections without disturbing the rest.
In a Q&A, founder Mark Kaminsky traces the concept to two decades of working with tracker-style DAWs like MadTracker, where every element of a song lives on its own isolated track. Applying that paradigm to AI-generated audio, Tracker can even isolate specific artifacts — such as a buzzy vocal resonance — onto a dedicated track so they can be muted independently.
