BULLET Microdrama Unveils The Dwarka Project, Billed as India's First AI-Led Anime Feature

BULLET Microdrama, backed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, has unveiled the trailer for The Dwarka Project, a 100-minute Indian sci-fi anime feature the company describes as India's first AI-led anime film. The film was revealed at Anime India and is the first project produced entirely on Trinetra AI, BULLET's proprietary AI filmmaking platform. Set in 2166, the story follows a young man searching for his abducted father who uncovers powers linked to the mythological underwater city of Dwarka, while navigating themes of social inequality and corporate control.

Beyond the narrative, BULLET frames The Dwarka Project as a deliberate stress-test of its Trinetra AI production pipeline — an attempt to determine whether an AI-led workflow can scale from short-form experiments to full-length feature production. Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer Azim Lalani described the project as both an original sci-fi story and a proof-of-concept for a new production model built around AI, raising broader questions about how AI tooling might reshape the scale and economics of Indian filmmaking.
