Bihar Filmmaker Dinesh Anand Uses AI Visuals to Recreate a Century of History in 'The Century Man'

Senior journalist and filmmaker Dinesh Anand has released 'The Century Man', a 50-minute AI-powered biographical documentary about Padma Shri Dr Dilip Kumar Singh, a centenarian physician from Bhagalpur district in Bihar. The film was released on June 26, 2026, to coincide with Dr Singh's 100th birthday celebrations, and has since attracted nearly 300,000 views across YouTube and Facebook.

Rather than relying on archival footage, Anand used generative AI visuals to recreate the clothing, architecture, and social atmosphere of each historical era spanning Dr Singh's century-long life — from pre-Independence India to the present day. The filmmaker describes the project as a step toward AI-based biographical filmmaking in Bihar, and sees the documentary as both a personal biography and a broader historical document of India's social and political transformation over 100 years.
