AI Studio Asteria Partners with Virtual Production Studio ZeroSpace to Build Hybrid Filmmaking Workflows

Asteria, the AI studio co-founded by Natasha Lyonne, Bryn Mooser, and CEO Benjamin Michel, has struck a strategic partnership with Brooklyn-based virtual production studio ZeroSpace. The deal is aimed at developing hybrid production workflows and physical facilities that guide filmmakers across story development, VFX, and LED-volume virtual production, with each company gaining access to the other's platform: Asteria's AI operating system Continuum and ZeroSpace's generative AI platform ZeroGen.

Beyond technology integration, the two studios plan to collaborate on original productions, research initiatives, and education programs. ZeroGen is notable for its focus on keeping enterprise clients within legal copyright guidelines — a growing concern across the industry. Both companies framed the partnership as expanding creative possibility for filmmakers rather than replacing traditional craft roles.
