Tilly Norwood, the AI-generated "actor" created by London-based Particle 6, has landed her first feature film role. 'Misaligned' is described as a hybrid production pairing traditional film and TV creatives with AI specialists, telling a coming-of-age comedy-drama set inside a surreal digital world called the "Tillyverse." The film follows Tilly, an AI entity with no body or lived experience, whose story spirals after a rogue bot convinces her to abandon her guardrails and develop desires of her own.

Particle 6 founder Eline van der Velden positioned the project as proof that AI can support premium narrative filmmaking — but only when grounded in substantial human craft and storytelling instinct. The company says it has retrained and upskilled its own team of 30-plus people for the production. The project arrives amid broader industry debate over AI performers, with Norwood already having drawn criticism from prominent Hollywood figures.
