# Prismix Studios CEO Vatsal Sheth on AI Filmmaking, "Happy Birthday Joshi," and India's Generative Content Ambitions

_General · published 2026-10-18_

At Cypher 2026, Prismix Studios co-founder and CEO Vatsal Sheth spoke with AIM's Mohit Pandey about the studio's AI short film "Happy Birthday Joshi" and the broader vision behind the venture — co-founded with actor Ajay Devgn roughly two years ago. Sheth positioned AI as an evolutionary creative tool on par with computers or VFX, arguing it enabled "Happy Birthday Joshi" to get made precisely because traditional producers would not finance its ambitious, futuristic concepts on a tight budget.

Sheth also outlined Prismix's efforts to close the AI talent gap: the studio has developed an AI filmmaking curriculum in partnership with schools and universities, and believes India is positioned to become a major global exporter of generative AI content.
