# OpenArt AI Partners with NovaLand to Produce AI-Animated Children's Content

OpenArt AI and kids content startup NovaLand have announced a partnership in which NovaLand will use OpenArt's newly launched Director platform to produce animated series aimed at preschool and early-grade audiences. The content focuses on social-emotional learning — including helping children manage screen-time transitions — for both neurotypical and neurodivergent families. NovaLand's team is led by Emmy-winning director William Lau and former Meta tech lead Cheng Zhao.

OpenArt Director, which debuted last month, replaces traditional prompt-based workflows with a conversational "vibe directing" interface designed for longer-form AI storytelling. According to NovaLand co-founder and CEO Helena Shi, the platform allows a small team to produce cinematic-quality animation faster and at a fraction of traditional animation budgets. NovaLand, a Harvard Innovation Labs member, is also collaborating with clinics and neurodivergent organizations to distribute its content.
