# Golden Apricot Film Festival Launches AI Filmmaking Workshop for Regional Professionals

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) will host an intensive AI Filmmaking Workshop from July 13–15, 2026, as part of its industry platform GAIFF Pro. Developed in partnership with LUMIVERSE, the three-day program will guide directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors from Armenia, Georgia, and Iran through the full production pipeline — from script development to post-production — using professional AI tools, culminating in a short film screened before accredited guests on July 16.

Led by AI specialists Vahan Setoyan and Lilit Barseghyan, the workshop prioritizes hands-on practice over classroom instruction. The initiative is framed by GAIFF Pro Head Nare Leone Ter-Gabrielyan as a deliberate move to help film professionals engage with AI "in ethical, practical ways," and sits alongside a broader 2026 expansion of GAIFF Pro that includes an enlarged co-production market covering cinema and new media projects.
