# Frame Rate Ltd. Unveils footagen.ai, an AI-Native Film Production Platform

Finnish production company Frame Rate Ltd. has unveiled footagen.ai, an AI-native film workflow platform designed to take productions from screenplay to edit-ready shots while keeping directorial and producer control intact. The platform breaks a screenplay into scenes, shots, characters, locations, and props, then carries that structure through planning and node-based AI generation — letting users select the most appropriate generative model shot by shot, approve creative direction, and track generation choices, credit use, and production provenance throughout. Supported models at launch include Seedance 2.5, Hailuo H3, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2, and Seedream 5 Pro.

The platform is positioned for production companies, studios, broadcasters, and professional content teams, but is priced to be accessible to independent and hobbyist filmmakers as well. footagen.ai is local-first by default, with project files and generated media stored on the user's device, and aims to support C2PA Content Credentials on exports for provenance tracking. Frame Rate will select initial waitlist users for a limited early access period ahead of the platform's public debut at IBC2026 in Amsterdam.
