Blackmagic Design has released the final version of Fairlight Live, a free software-based audio mixer for broadcast and live events, available now for Mac and Windows. First announced at NAB in April 2026, the application supports thousands of channels with stereo, surround, and immersive audio formats, and runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 15 Sequoia or later) and Windows 10/11. Features include third-party plug-in support, AFL/PFL solo, talkback, a cue player, snapshots, and direct USB routing to and from ATEM Mini switchers.

Alongside the Fairlight Live launch, Blackmagic also released ATEM Switchers 10.3, which adds USB digital audio output for use with Fairlight Live across supported ATEM models including the ATEM Mini Pro, ATEM Mini Extreme, ATEM SDI Extreme, ATEM Television Studio, and ATEM Constellation 4K. The update also introduces direct streaming from ATEM switchers to Blackmagic Cloud Stream Router, enabling live productions to be distributed globally and delivered to multiple streaming platforms simultaneously.
