# Believe and TuneCore Require Artist Opt-In Before Feeding Music to Suno for AI Training

Believe and its distribution subsidiary TuneCore have announced a two-stage opt-in consent process that must be completed before any artist's music is made available to AI music platform Suno for training purposes. CEO Denis Ladegaillerie made the policy explicit, stating that artist consent is a non-negotiable prerequisite — no music moves to Suno without it.

The move positions Believe and TuneCore among the first major distributors to publicly formalize a consent-first framework for AI training data licensing, drawing a clear line between passive licensing arrangements and active artist authorization.
