AI Film Festival TAIFF Returns to Istanbul This December with New Production-Stage Categories

The third edition of Turkey's International AI Film Festival (TAIFF) will take place December 7–9 at the Yeşilçam Cinema inside Istanbul's Atatürk Cultural Center. Since its launch in 2024, TAIFF has received more than 2,000 submissions from over 100 countries, establishing itself as one of the more prominent international platforms dedicated to AI-generated cinema.

For this edition, organizers are introducing a notable structural change: films will be evaluated and awarded by production stage — covering areas such as scriptwriting, VFX, editing, sound design, and music — rather than solely as finished works. Awards will span categories including Best AI Film (Grand Prize), Best AI Director, Actor, Cinematographer, and Documentary, each with separate national and international winners. Submissions are open via FilmFreeway through November 1.
